Additional Security Checks
In order for Poker Shop to verify your identity as the legitimate cardholder and protect you from fraudulent activity, sometimes we will apply an additional security check to your order.
When is it applied?
Security checks are applied entirely at our own discretion.
If your order falls under one of the below categories, then it is likely that you will be subject to an additional security check:
- Alternate Delivery Locations with a high value.
- UK Non Mainland orders with a weight over 2kg.
- Orders outside of the United Kingdom.
Previous customers usually do not have to go through this procedure and anyone using the same card details for a new order should be exempt.
If you are a previous customer please remind us by selecting Previous Customer under Where did you hear about us?
It is also highly recommended that you leave a message in the Order Comments at step one of the order completion process stating that you are a previous customer and if possible noting your previous order references.
How it works
We will not release your order until your legitimacy has been verified.
If your order has been selected for a security check then we will initially send you an email with an explanation of what is required.
We will charge your order in two different amounts, we will charge one amount and ask you to contact and clarify with your bank the amount we have taken. Once verified we will charge the remaining amount due.
