New Playing Cards

Playing cards in the UK mainly come in two size variations 57 or 62mm wide and 88mm high.

Poker games tend to have larger printed indexes because the visual distances for all 6 to 10 players to view each others cards are much greater. The extra width is also necessary to accommodate the super index and so sometimes these are called poker cards.

Narrow cards usually have the standard index because they are often for games with 4 or less players. Games like Kalooki that require the card players to hold up to 13 playing cards in their hand will probably prefer the narrow size cards with standard index to make viewing the large number of cards in one hand much easier.
