From our limited experiences from around 2005-7 period most poker tables originating from China have several issues to be wary of. Less dense and thinner foam, sometimes a flimsy chipboard table base, upholstered rails fixed to the tabletop - making changing the poker cloth a very difficult or virtually impossible task to accomplish at a reasonable quality finish unless it is performed by a very professional upholsterer and would be very uneconomical endeavour. The cloths are also a very thin weave that wear out pretty quickly. Poker shop was invited to tender for a contract to supply poker tables to and by a major snooker chain at the start of the poker craze. They were looking to replace over a hundred round tables with metal folding legs that they had imported from China at great expense by air freight that were disintegrating within a week of receipt because the Chinese maker used only basic standard screws fixings the legs to tabletops. Things may be a lot more reliable today just make sure the details provided about what you are buying are thorough to avoid any inconvenience from less experienced traders.
